Okutama (western Tokyo) is one of my favourite hiking spots in Japan. It is one of the most picturesque hiking trails I’ve been on, although some of the hikes can be pretty tough. Some of the trails are nearly vertical!

After a few years in the wilderness, my richie.jp domain name is finally back. All my posts have disappeared into a black hole so I am starting afresh! Hopefully I have learnt enough about the pitfalls of WordPress not to hit the ‘Upgrade’ button without thinking…
